Youth Services

We run a weekly Youth Café for at risk young people wanting to spend time in the kitchen enjoying food, having fun & making friends. Mentors are available for any one needing extra support and guests are invited to come in and discuss common issues that teenagers face.

We also run a follow on course for those who show and interest in developing their skills further. They learn about food safety, catering & hospitality and have the opportunity to plan events for the public and to volunteer at local farmers markets.

These projects improve self-esteem
& confidence, life skills, education and employability.

What the young people say

"I enjoyed cooking, baking and making friends"

"I enjoyed it very much"

"I really appreciated being invited"

"My favourite thing was meeting new friends"

"I would like the staff to know that they are amazing and have given me a great experience"
