C2C’s CEO, Angie Kennedy, won the Community category in the West Northants 2022 Inspirational Women Awards on 5th March 2022. One of sixty nominees across two categories (Community and Business), Angie’s win recognises her work with two charities. Angie set up Baby Basics, a charity helping vulnerable families to access Moses baskets and other essentials to ease the transition into parenthood. She ran the charity for 7 years before becoming C2C Social Action’s chief executive in 2019.
Angie said:
“This award is really for all the women I work with and for the many inspirational women who have supported, mentored and walked with me in my life."
“Every woman deserves the chance to reach their full potential, whatever that looks like, and we need to be in the position of encouragement wherever we find ourselves.”
The award also recognises Angie’s vision and efforts to bring the Knife Angel (the National Monument Against Violence & Aggression) to Northamptonshire in May 2022.
The event was a double celebration for our CEO, as Angie was also one of three winners of the Mayor of Northampton’s Heart of the Community Awards, presented at the same ceremony.
